What to Expect From Every Visit

Boiler Service Standards

Licensed & Insured Gas-Certified Technicians Serving Vancouver Since 1999

When you invite a boiler technician into your home, you deserve professionalism, transparency, and respect. These are our service standards — the commitments we make to every customer, on every job, no exceptions.

We publish these standards so you know exactly what to expect — and so you have a benchmark to compare against any other contractor you might consider.

1. On-Time Arrival

Your time is valuable. We respect it.

  • We provide a 2-hour arrival window — not 'sometime between 8 and 5'
  • We call or text 30 minutes before arrival so you're not waiting by the door
  • If we're going to be late (rare), we call with an updated ETA — at least 30 minutes before your window closes
  • Emergency calls are dispatched immediately — average response under 4 hours

2. Fixed Written Quotes — Always

No surprises. No bait-and-switch. No 'while I'm here' upselling.

  • Every repair quote is in writing before any work begins
  • The price we quote is the price you pay — period
  • We show you exactly what needs repair and why — with evidence, not opinion
  • If we discover additional issues during repair, we stop, show you, re-quote, and get your approval before proceeding
  • Diagnostic fee is credited toward repair if you proceed with our quote

3. Clean Work Site

We treat your home like our own.

  • Boot covers on before entering — always
  • Drop cloths in the work area and the path to your mechanical room
  • All debris, old parts, and packaging removed from your property
  • Work area wiped down and vacuumed before we leave
  • Your mechanical room is cleaner when we leave than when we arrived

4. Full Diagnostic — Every Visit

Every boiler visit includes a complete safety and performance check — not just the specific issue you called about.

  • Combustion analysis with calibrated CO/COâ‚‚/Oâ‚‚ analyzer on every visit
  • Electronic gas leak detection on all accessible connections
  • System pressure, expansion tank, and safety control verification
  • Written service report with all readings documented
  • Any additional issues found are reported to you — no hidden 'while I was there' charges

5. Permits & Compliance

We handle the paperwork so your installation is fully legal and insurable.

  • All gas work is permitted and inspected as required by BC Safety Standards Act
  • We pull municipal building permits and coordinate Technical Safety BC inspections
  • All installations meet BC Gas Code and manufacturer specifications
  • Warranty registration completed within 48 hours of installation
  • Documentation package provided: permits, inspection reports, warranty registration, service records

6. Ongoing Support

Our relationship doesn't end when the job is done.

  • 1-year labor warranty on all repairs (extendable)
  • Manufacturer warranty support — we handle claims so you don't have to deal with the manufacturer
  • Annual service reminders before heating season
  • 24/7 emergency support for our installation customers
  • Same technicians whenever possible — you build a relationship with someone who knows your system

This is not a DIY repair

Combi boilers are gas-fired appliances regulated under the BC Safety Standards Act. Opening the unit, touching the gas valve, or working on the flue without a valid BC gas-fitter licence is both unsafe and illegal. Diagnosing the fault is helpful — fixing it should always be left to a certified technician.
