No-Obligation Assessment — Fixed Written Price
Get a Free Combi Boiler Quote
Getting a combi boiler quote shouldn't feel like a sales pitch. Our assessment is genuinely free, genuinely no-obligation, and always includes a fixed written price — not an estimate, not a range, not a 'starting at' price. The number on the quote is the number you pay.
We visit your home, assess your heating system, discuss your needs, and provide options at different price points. You decide what's right for your home — we never pressure, never upsell, and never use high-pressure closing tactics.
How Our Free Quote Process Works
From your first call to your written quote — here's exactly what happens:
- 1. You call or book online: We schedule a quote visit at your convenience — typically within 1-3 business days.
- 2. We visit your home: A licensed technician (not a salesperson) comes to your home at the scheduled time. Expect the visit to take 30-60 minutes.
- 3. Assessment: We inspect your existing boiler, hot water system, gas line, venting, and mechanical room. We measure for heat loss and discuss your hot water needs (how many bathrooms, simultaneous usage).
- 4. Options & recommendation: We present 2-3 options at different price points — usually a good, better, best approach — explaining the trade-offs of each brand and model.
- 5. Fixed written quote: You receive a detailed written quote that day, including the boiler model, all labor, permits, system flush, magnetic filter, commissioning, warranty registration, and total price. No hidden costs.
- 6. You decide: Take your time. There's no pressure and the quote is valid for 30 days. When you're ready, call us to schedule installation.
What's Included in Every Quote
Other contractors give you a boiler-only price then add charges later. Our quote includes everything — no surprises:
- New combi boiler unit (specific model and BTU rating listed)
- Removal and disposal of old boiler and hot water tank
- Gas connection and pressure testing
- Concentric venting through wall or roof
- Condensate drain to floor drain or sump
- Full system power flush to remove sludge
- Magnetic filter (e.g., Fernox TF1 or equivalent)
- System inhibitor dosing after flush
- Building permit fee (municipality-specific)
- Technical Safety BC gas inspection coordination
- Startup, commissioning, and combustion analysis report
- Manufacturer warranty registration
- 1-year labor warranty (extendable to 5 years)
- Rebate paperwork preparation (FortisBC, CleanBC)
- Total price including GST — fixed, not estimated
Why Our Quotes Are Different
We've heard the horror stories. Here's why our quote process is different from the high-pressure sales companies:
- A technician visits, not a salesperson: The person assessing your home is a licensed gas fitter who will actually do the work — not a commissioned salesperson.
- No 'today only' discounts: If a contractor offers a discount that expires at midnight, walk away. Ethical companies don't use artificial urgency.
- No bait-and-switch pricing: We don't advertise impossibly low prices to get in the door, then tell you that price was for a 'basic installation' that doesn't include venting, permits, or flushing.
- No required 'both spouses present': Some companies insist both homeowners be present for the quote — it's a sales tactic. We're happy to speak with whoever is home.
- License verification: Ask to see the technician's TSSA/BC gas fitter certificate when they arrive. Every legitimate technician carries it.
This is not a DIY repair
Combi boilers are gas-fired appliances regulated under the BC Safety Standards Act. Opening the unit, touching the gas valve, or working on the flue without a valid BC gas-fitter licence is both unsafe and illegal. Diagnosing the fault is helpful — fixing it should always be left to a certified technician.
