Existing FortisBC Natural Gas Customer

If you are already a FortisBC natural gas customer replacing an old boiler, this is the most common scenario — and the one with the clearest rebate path.

• FortisBC Heating System Rebate: Up to $1,000 for installing a qualifying ENERGY STAR certified condensing combi boiler with 95%+ AFUE. This rebate applies to replacements of existing gas boilers or conversions from older mid-efficiency units.
• CleanBC Better Homes Energy Savings Program: Up to $1,000 for space heating upgrades that improve your home's overall energy performance. This can often be combined (stacked) with the FortisBC rebate for total savings of up to $2,000.
• Eligibility: You must be a FortisBC residential natural gas customer, the equipment must be installed by a licensed program-registered contractor, and the unit must meet minimum efficiency requirements. We meet all of these criteria.

New Gas Connection

If your home does not currently have a natural gas connection and you are installing one to accommodate a new combi boiler:

• FortisBC New Home Rebate: Up to $1,200 for new homes connecting to natural gas service with qualifying high-efficiency space and water heating equipment, including combi boilers. This applies to both new construction and homes connecting to gas for the first time.

Eligibility Requirements & How to Apply
