Converting From a Tank System to a Combi Boiler
Reclaim space and modernise heating and hot water at once.
Converting from a separate furnace and hot water tank to a single combi boiler is a popular upgrade that reclaims floor space and delivers on-demand hot water. It's more involved than a like-for-like swap — it can require new gas, water and venting arrangements — but the long-term benefits are substantial.
An experienced installer plans the conversion to suit your home.
What a conversion involves
- Removing the old tank and/or furnace
- New gas-line sizing and venting
- Adapting water and heating connections
- Possible electrical and condensate work
- Full commissioning of the new system
Is it worth it?
For many homes, yes — you gain space, efficiency, on-demand hot water and rebate eligibility. We assess feasibility and give you a clear, fixed quote.
This is not a DIY repair
Combi boilers are gas-fired appliances regulated under the BC Safety Standards Act. Opening the unit, touching the gas valve, or working on the flue without a valid BC gas-fitter licence is both unsafe and illegal. Diagnosing the fault is helpful — fixing it should always be left to a certified technician.
