Understanding Your Combi Boiler Warranty
Protect the coverage you paid for.
Combi boiler warranties vary by brand, typically covering the heat exchanger for 10–25 years and other parts for 5 years. But coverage depends on conditions: professional installation, annual servicing, and often a system filter and clean water.
Understanding these conditions keeps your warranty valid when you need it.
Keeping your warranty valid
- Install by a licensed, manufacturer-approved technician
- Register the warranty after installation
- Have the boiler serviced annually and keep records
- Fit a system filter if required
- Use genuine parts for any repairs
What commonly voids warranties
Unqualified DIY work, skipped servicing, dirty system water and non-genuine parts are the most common reasons warranties are refused. We register and document everything to keep yours protected.
This is not a DIY repair
Combi boilers are gas-fired appliances regulated under the BC Safety Standards Act. Opening the unit, touching the gas valve, or working on the flue without a valid BC gas-fitter licence is both unsafe and illegal. Diagnosing the fault is helpful — fixing it should always be left to a certified technician.
