How to Reset a Boiler Safely
Resetting clears a lockout — but only do it once, and find the cause if it recurs.
Most boilers have a reset button to clear a fault lockout. Use it carefully.
How to reset
Press and hold the reset button for a few seconds per your manual; the boiler should attempt to relight.
Do it only once
If it locks out again, don't keep resetting — repeated resets can be unsafe. Book a diagnosis instead.
