Water Leaking From the Bottom of the Boiler
Water under the boiler always deserves a look.
Water leaking from the underside of a combi boiler can come from the condensate trap, pump or valve seals, internal pipework, or — more seriously — a corroded heat exchanger. Because water and electrics don't mix, it's worth turning the boiler off and calling promptly.
Don't open the casing yourself; that exposes live electrics and gas components.
Possible sources
- Condensate trap or pipe
- Pump or valve seals
- Internal pipe fittings
- Pressure relief valve discharge
- Corroded heat exchanger (serious)
