Troubleshooting
Combi Boiler Leaking Water
Any water where it shouldn't be deserves attention.
A leaking combi boiler should never be ignored. Depending on where the water comes from, it could be a simple seal or a serious heat-exchanger or pressure-vessel failure. Water near electrical components is also a shock and damage risk.
Turn the boiler off if water is actively running, place a container to catch drips, and call a licensed technician. Do not open the casing — that exposes live electrics and gas components.
Where leaks commonly come from
- Pressure relief valve discharging (often a pressure or expansion fault)
- Pump or valve seals
- Corroded or cracked heat exchanger (serious)
- Loose or failed pipe fittings
- Condensate pipe or trap
